"Our God Is Truly An Awesome God"

[1 May 2011 : Selayang Hospital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia]

God is good, all the time - there might be times when you feel God is not there & you just want to give up on everything but let me tell you, your feelings are wrong about God - He is a good God & you just have to submit to Him & let Him work in your life - "let go & let God" - then you will begin to experience Him just like I did. I know it is easier said than done but if you never try, you will never know.
I would like to share my testimony with all of you and I hope that it will encourage you to boldly share Christ' unconditional love to the people around you - Amen!

From this incident, I could clearly see that He truly has a plan for me here in Selayang (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) because He is now revealing them to me one by one - Amen! Every unpleasant things that happened to me was actually a blessing in disguise and to also test my faith. I have tasted His love and I will do anything for Him! I am fervently praying that His will be done in my life. Last Sunday (1 May 2011 – Labour Day) after church service, I decided to go to Selayang Hospital (5 minutes away from my church) because when I prayed a few weeks back,the Holy Spirit told me to go there to pray for someone and due to my tight schedule I didn't attend to this but as I seek Him that Sunday morning during church service, He reminded me again! So this time, no more delaying - I prayed before I go so that He will direct me to the right ward and person that I will meet or pray for. Its really amazing how God works and I fully obeyed His calling and depended on Him that very moment.

True enough, He directed me to a Catholic family where a brother was knocked down by a car and flew off from his motorbike in Kepong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) area Saturday night (the night before his church wedding) while waiting at a traffic light @ 3 am in the morning. He was unconscious and just recovered from a coma. The doctor said his brain could not register properly and while talking he can actually fall asleep but the sad part was his fiancee (supposed to marry on the 1 May 2011 in a church wedding) was there too but she was a Hindu - as I laid hands to pray for Simon Raj (the patient), I heard a small still voice telling me that he will be healed - Amen! Hallelujah! I am now praying for them as his finacee is from a Hindu family and I hope you can also pray that God will continue to use me to share Christ love with them and that His healing hands will always be upon this brother.

"Honoring God's Gift"

"HONORING GOD'S GIFT"

I could recall the Holy Spirit visited me after my baptism that night (year 2007) in my room and was guided to composed songs in the spirit. Eversince then, I started to pray to God that He will open doors for me to touch lives through the songs that I have composed with the help of the Holy Spirit. All glory & praise be to our Father in heaven. Hallelujah!

What you are is God's gift to you. But what you become is your gift back to Him. Let your gift shine as a beacon of light for His glory! My life was transformed when I asked God to help me discover and develop my gifts and talents. His Word promises that when my gift is in place, it will open doors and bring me before great men. I strongly encourage you to develop and use them to bless others and bring glory to God.

Like I mentioned earlier, I was certainly filled with the Holy Spirit more than ever now after my church camp (August 2011) recently and His gifts on me were activated and I was truly amazed seeing things I thought I could never do. It happened the very next day after the camp in my room as I was doing my devotion. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit prompted me to switch on my keyboard - I fully enjoyed the Holy Spirit's presence as I laid my fingers on the keyboard that morning. Truly an unforgettable experience when two spirits are connected. I praised & thanked God for this divine arrangement - to know Him and His plans for me - His beautiful plan.

"This Is The Way For You To Walk"

My heart was already praising Him early in the morning and during my quiet time again, His Spirit spoke to mine :

"This is the way for you to walk. A way of holiness and peace. A way of obedience and correction. It is a lovely way, but you cannot walk it alone, for there are many dangers and pitfalls. If you walk with Me, you will be able to see the dangers and take My hand and bypass them".

"Focusing On Who God Is"

Focusing on who God is empowers us to release and relax. He is a big enough God to make happen whatever He wants to happen. We don't have to perform; we just need to cooperate with His plans. And if He's saying to just sit quietly, then He knows what He intends to do. We can trust HIM.

"God's Invitation Into His Presence"

[A Personal Experience With God :15 December 2011]

As I was preparing my heart to pray last night, God spoke to me and He said : "I'm here for you when you have a problem. Call my Name when you're afraid. Talk to me when you've been hurt or overlooked. Don't whisper but hold up your needs and cry out to Me with urgency and passion".
I really can't explain why this but something powerful happens when I get alone with Him and audibly speak my prayer. Let me tell you, the Bible tells that the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working and when God hears the passionate cry of a righteous woman and the urgency of a man filled with faith, He bends down and listens. Today, you're invited into God's presence.

"I Can't Make It Without You"

As I was doing my devotion in my room this morning (7 January 2012), the Holy Spirit came and He knew that I desperately needed a fresh touch from Him in my life. Suddenly, I fell on my knees and said this :

"Forgive me, Lord. I felt I was so right. I felt I was taking action! I see that now it was my flesh and not my spirit. It wasn't me and You, Lord - it was just me" - Jesus, I need You to be in my life and I can't do without You!

Obstacles come in different forms. When you face barriers that threaten to hinder you from achieving your dreams, or you encounter obstacles that want to discourage you. Rise above your circumstances in the spirit through prayer. Boldly approach the throne of grace and seek anointing of God to overcome everything that threatens your destiny.

As I was earnestly seeking Him, the Holy Spirit guided me to ask for the courage to break down that barriers that have risen against me. So, I let God give me divinely inspired strategies to use in every situation. Life is urgent and uncertain. That's why we need to be sure that we're doing what God has placed in our hearts to do. Don't take the will of God for granted. That's your heavenly vision. Find out what is it, and give your life to doing it.

(Part 3) ~ Trusting God's Will

Do you sometimes wonder where all the pieces of your life fit together in God's plan for you? You may get anxious or impatient to see the whole picture. There will be times when a fragment of your life doesn't quite seem to fit what you'd envisioned or hoped it could be. Learning to trust God's will for your life is a little like finding the pieces of jigsaw puzzle and putting them together.

So in this testimony of mine, as I sorted through countless pieces, I found myself asking just what God's picture and will for me is. The answer doesn't always come immediately. It's only when I picked up each piece, hold it up to God, and ask Him to show me where it fits that I finally catch a partial glimpse of His plan and will.

Coming back to my story, after praying and asking God whatever that was on my mind, I managed to sleep soundly and I knew I had to obey whatever was spoken to me that night because I found the inner peace. The next morning, I woke up and began to touch my leg, still in pain and swollen but I remembered that the Lord promised that He will heal me. My Pastor came and took me to the clinic where I was given a pain-killer (vaccination) and the doctor told that I must take rest for about 10 days and must report to the clinic daily for vaccination to take away the swell. So the doctor wrote 10 medical sheets (to be submitted to my company) for me to rest at home.

I remembered every single thing the Holy Spirit had told me and so obediently I waited for the things to come to pass. Early in the morning the very next day, I woke up not realising there wasn't any pain in my leg and I could walk normally. Praise God! Praise God! I shouted and kept on giving thanks to Him! I could then wear my shoes and even drive to church for my church activities. My house mates were stunned and amazed with the miracle because they knew it was difficult to totally heal from that injury of mine. But God turned around the whole situation and gotten these unbelievers witnessing a miracle! Hallelujah! Praise GOD! And now, I am sharing the Good News to them.

"Trusting God's Will" (Part 2)

I was in pain - the kind of pain I cannot described and so I began to ask God, "Why?!"...."Why me and why is this happening?!"....I was very frustrated with God during that time and it was not the first time incidents like this happened - many times I wanted to move from that area to another but I just couldn't find the right home or the right location! Now, things have gotten worst and I started to blame God - I began to questioned Him for all that has happened! I even raised my voice and told Him that I will do whatever it takes to move out!. I called my Pastor and told him about the incident but he was quiet. After a while, I was stunned when he told me : "NO!".

I was truly shocked when I heard him telling me that I should not leave the house but to stay on for another 6 months! Now, that really made me lose my mind for a while but I managed to hold myself together and asked my Pastor. My Pastor told that the Lord revealed to him that I must stay in the house for that period of time for His purpose to take birth. Again, I broke down in tears but this time, it seemed my tears were never-ending and my heart felt so much in pain. My Pastor said that the ultimate choice is still mine and the Lord said to him that He has a great plan for me. I stopped crying and said to my Pastor that I will need to pray about this and so I did.

That night, my whole destiny was changed - by God - when I allowed Him to fully take control of my life!

(Part 1) ~ Trusting God's Will

This is another testimony where not only me but my friends and Pastors witnessed when I was healed by God instantly and behind this miracle was something I never thought one would believe. And the story goes like this :

"TRUSTING GOD'S WILL" (Part 1) ~ Lisa Lim

Early last year (February 2011) , I stayed back in my company till 10 pm in the night because I had to complete my work. I took my car and drove back home and after reaching the entrance of my home, I saw a motorbike with 2 young boys without any helmets outside the gate. I thought they were just having a ride near my area because where I stay is actually situated on top of the hill - very windy and scenic especially in the night.

But little did I know, as soon as I came out of my car heading towards the gate, the motorbike came right in front of my house and one of the boys came charging towards me trying to snatch my handbag! He was trying very hard to snatch my bag away but I just didn't let go! I screamed as loud as I could and fell to the ground. I was in pain when I was dragged by the boy on their bike because I didn't let go of my handbag. I screamed until my neighbours began to switched their car porch lights and came out. Immediately the boys let go of my handbag and took off.

I was severely injured on the right side of my body and leg. I couldn't walk and my house mate had to come out to take me into the house and we called the police after that. As the policeman was taking down the report of the incident, my leg was turning purplish and it was swollen - it looked like an elephant leg! Thank God my house mate rubbed and applied some herbal oinment onto the affected area but still, I was suffering when I got back into my room. I couldn't sleep the whole night - I was up reading the Bible and broke down in tears .......

"God's Love"

[21 January 2012 : 3:28 am]

Today, God has revealed His love to me in such a powerful way. He was proving to me that in all circumstances, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Who am I to question the ways of God! I continue to pray that I will mature in my faith. Only then will I begin to understand the awesome and infinite love of the God I serve. After my quiet time a while ago, the Holy Spirit gave me to this verse :
"When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is" - [Ephesians 3:14-18]

"The Anointing"

"THE ANOINTING"

Once God began to use us,the anointing will come. He will put us on "fire". Transformation and transition will take place and tons of weight will be lifted. You will go through a transition period where tons of hurts and feelings of unforgiveness will be taken away by God. Lackness like these will hold us back. Anointing comes through "prayer". So, I strongly encourage you to continue to pray to get God's supernatural strength.

"Accepting My Assignment"

[7 August 2012 : Morning 7 am]                  

I woke up in the morning and felt an urge to praise and worship the Lord. And so I began to praise Him while preparing myself to go to work that morning. My heart was bubbling with joy and excitement no words could explain. When I started to pray, the Holy Spirit prompted me to do what I must do on that day - it was the CF (Christian Fellowship Prayer Meet) in my company.

The Bible says, "Before I made you in your mother's womb, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work". As soon as I reached my workstation, I sent out emails to all my Christian colleagues in my company informing them that there will be a prayer meet every week during lunch hour. I knew I was placed there for a special assignment and true enough, by His grace, our first Christian Fellowship (Prayer Meet) was started on the 7 August 2012.

I have specially created a 'blog' here to share my testimony and also my personal experience with the Holy Spirit ; These are all true accounts and I am truly happy to be used as His vessel to touch lives and to share His amazing love to the people around me.I thank God for His grace and mercy upon my life and what I am now is actually God's gift to me and what I do with myself is my gift to Him - God deserves my best!

I woke up this morning and felt that I had to talk to God - remembered a picture I took while visited a ship selling Christian materials. I chose to post this picture this morning because I want to let God knows this :

God truly heard my prayers even before I accepted Christ and after that night, I began to put more effort and interest in my piano lessons. I have to thank God for my talent and the ability to play by ear and even my music teacher was also amazed with my performance and she suggested that I take part in the World Music Festival when I was 18 years old. And so I took part in the competition and emerged champion for my state. I could still remember that there were 12 contestants altogether representing 12 states. But I will not forget an incident whereby one of the contestant came to us and (a Christian girl) told that we need to pray before we go on stage. And so all 12 of us gathered in the costume room, held each other’s hands and started to pray.

Everyone is born with gifts and talents. What we do with those gifts is up to us. We can keep them to ourselves or develop and use them to bless others and bring glory to God. When Christ was moved with compassion to use His gift of healing, His tender mercy brought Him attention and praise. But He was quick to point to the Father and give Him all the glory. Exercising your gift honorably is sacred – holy – a form of worship and a noble tribute to the ‘Gift Giver’. What we are is God’s gift to us. But what we become is our gift back to Him. I strongly encouraged you to ask God help you discover and develop your gifts and talents. Let our gift shine as a light for His glory!

"God Heard My Prayers Even Before I Accepted Christ"

"GOD HEARD MY PRAYERS EVEN BEFORE I ACCEPTED CHRIST" ~ Lisa Lim


Before I accepted Christ, I was a staunch Buddhist and I have never been to a church. My dad was luckier than me because most of his friends and colleagues are Christians and sometimes they would invite my dad to their church for Sunday service.

I have accepted Christ 5 years ago (since the year 2007) and I am the only Christian in my family at the moment. But I fully trust and have faith in the Lord that my family will all be saved because He has already given me the wisdom to minister to my parents and my grandmother – Praise The Lord! Hallelujah! Well, the story here is actually about how God heard my prayers even before I accepted Christ.

Our God is a good God and it all happened when my dad’s friend invited him to a Christmas Eve concert in a church. I was only 6 years old back then when my dad took me to a church for the first time and we were both seated at the front row. It was also that night I was moved by the Holy Spirit; I saw everything white and cloudy on the stage and I was also captivated by the pianist when she rendered a beautiful melody. As I was so into the music and the drama (that night the drama was about Jesus performing miracles and how prayers can do wonders for those who believed in Him), suddenly I put my hands together and said a short prayer like this : Jesus, You are so great! How I wish I could play the piano like the pianist on the stage – Yes! I want to play like her for You!
